Nace la Fundación Laboral de la Madera y el Mueble

Confemadera y las organizaciones sindicales FECOMA-CC.OO y MCA-UGT firmaron ayer en Madrid el convenio por el que se constituye la Fundación Laboral de la Madera y el Mueble, enfocada en la formación, prevención y promoción del sector de la madera y el mueble.

La situación social y sectorial hacen necesarios nuevos esfuerzos para adquirir mayores niveles de formación, capacitación y profesionalización. Por eso, Confemadera se ha puesto manos a la obra y se ha sentado con MCA-UGT y FECOMA-CC.OO, con las que ha creado la Fundación Laboral de la Madera y el Mueble.

De izquierda a derecha: Francesc de Paula Pons, Secretario General de CONFEMADERA; Pedro García Moya, Presidente de CONFEMADERA; Manuel Fernández “Lito”, Secretario General de MCA-UGT; y  Fernando Serrano, Secretario General de FECOMA-CC.OO.

Los objetivos de la Fundación son fomentar la formación profesional en el sector de la madera; la investigación, desarrollo y promoción de actuaciones de mejora de  la salud laboral y la prevención de riesgos laborales; las actuaciones que contribuyan a fortalecer el empleo, el crecimiento de la competitividad y el desarrollo del sector de la madera y el mueble de cara a la mejora de las condiciones laborales; la puesta en marcha de actuaciones dirigidas al desarrollo personal, profesional y social de los trabajadores de esta industria; y la promoción de la madera como recurso natural, abundante, reciclable, reutilizable y renovable.
