Fallece el fundador de AIDIMA

Joaquín Giner Grau, fundador de AIDIMA y Expresidente de la Feria Internacional del Mueble de Valencia, falleció ayer a los 83 años de edad.

El Instituto Tecnológico del Mueble, Madera, Embalaje y Afines, AIDIMA, ha comunicado la dolorosa e irremplazable pérdida de D. Joaquín Giner Grau, Presidente de Honor del Centro Tecnológico.

Natural de Tavernes de la Valldigna, pertenecía a una familia vinculada a la industria de la madera y el mueble desde que su antecesor, Federico Giner Llinares, comenzara con el primer taller de carpintería en la localidad, que se ha convertido hoy en día en una empresa referente en la fabricación de mobiliario escolar, muebles de hogar e instalaciones.

D. Joaquín estuvo vinculado desde los orígenes de AIDIMA en un pequeño local de Alfafar e impulsó la creación del Instituto en 1984 como fundador, con una visión clara de que el futuro de un sector arraigado en la Comunidad Valenciana como el del mueble, debía estar ligado irrenunciablemente a la calidad, la investigación, y en definitiva a la innovación.

Presidente de ADIMA durante 25 años, D. Joaquín participó activamente como responsable en numerosas entidades vinculadas al sector, y fue presidente de la Feria Internacional del Mueble de Valencia durante 1994, 1995, y 1996.
