Los nuevos planes de Ikea

Ikea quiere crear 5.000 empleos en la Península Ibérica hasta 2015, para lo que prevé invertir 2.000 millones de euros y crear 20.000 puestos de trabajo, de los que 5.000 serán directos.

La cadena sueca ya ha invertido 15 millones de euros en sus nuevas oficinas en San Sebastián de Reyes (Madrid), donde ha instalado su nueva sede, con medidas de eficiencia energética que permitirán ahorrar cerca de un 40% de energía y un 25% de agua.

La nueva sede refuerza la apuesta de Ikea por la Península Ibérica como mercado estratégico, tras los resultados de 2009, un año en el que visitaron sus tiendas 36,5 millones de personas, el 1,5% más que en el año anterior.

En 2010 la compañía sueca inaugurará tres nuevas tiendas Ikea en la Península, en Jerez de la Frontera (Cádiz), Loures (Portugal) y La Coruña.

El Grupo Ikea tiene actualmente once tiendas en España: Alcorcón, San Sebastián de los Reyes y Madrid-Este (Madrid), Badalona y L@¬#Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona), Castilleja de la Cuesta (Sevilla), Málaga, Barakaldo (Vizcaya), Pola de Siero (Asturias), Murcia y Zaragoza.

Además, cuenta con dos centros de distribución en Valls (Tarragona) que suministran productos a las tiendas de la compañía en el suroeste de Europa y que constituyen la base logística para la expansión de IKEA en la Península.
