Gran presencia española en Marmomacc

La 44ª edición de la feria Marmomacc, que abrirá sus puertas el próximo 30 de septiembre en Verona (Italia), cuenta una vez más con el apoyo del ICEX, que ha ayudado a la participación de 24 empresas españolas del sector.

La presencia estas empresas en Verona se enmarca dentro del plan sectorial del ICEX diseñado con el objeto de consolidar el sector español de la piedra natural en los mercados internacionales. La Federación Española de la Piedra Natural (FDP) coordinará el pabellón español que va a ocupar una superficie de unos 743 metros cuadrados. 

 

Por comunidades autónomas, la mayor participación corresponde a la Comunidad Valenciana con 10 empresas, seguida por Cataluña con 4 empresas, Andalucía con 4 empresas y Castilla y León con 2 empresas. Las cuatro empresas restantes proceden de Galicia, Madrid, Murcia y el País Vasco, respectivamente.

Este certamen es el mayor encuentro del sector de la piedra natural en Italia y una de las principales ferias a nivel mundial. En la edición de 2008, se dieron cita 1.536 expositores procedentes de 54 países y fue visitada por más de 63.000 profesionales procedentes de 120 países distintos.

Cifras del negocio

Las ventas al exterior de piedra natural española y sus manufacturas en 2008 superaron los 877 millones de euros. Los datos del primer semestre de 2009 (enero-junio) señalan que las exportaciones españolas del sector al mundo superaron los 355 millones de euros. Italia es nuestro noveno cliente mundial, absorbiendo más del 3 por ciento de nuestras exportaciones totales en valor al mundo.
