Dos Green Good Design para Electrolux

Los productos 4Springs y Panda Club, de Electrolux, han sido premiados con dos Green Good Design por su contribución al desarrollo sostenible.

Los galardones han sido para el 4Springs, un grifo que ofrece al consumidor una alternativa para el agua embotellada; y el Panda Club, un proyecto que ha desarrollado con WWF Adena.

4Springs Tap un grifo que produce agua potable refrigerada, microfiltrada y carbonatada, que evita la necesidad de comprar agua embotellada. Reduce la concentración de bacterias y extrae las impurezas y el cloro. En este sentido, el grupo apunta que los consumidores son cada vez más conscientes de la inutilidad de transportar el agua embotellada a través de largas distancias. Al menos 200.000 toneladas de CO2 son emitidas anualmente por la producción de envases de polietileno y su transporte a través de Europa.

El Panda Club es un proyecto de educación en desarrollo sostenible dirigido a la infancia. Durante los últimos 15 años, Electrolux en Italia y la sección italiana de WWF desarrollaron una colaboración de larga trayectoria para incrementar la conciencia sobre la temática ambiental y sobre el papel que desempeñan los hogares al respecto.

Una de las actividades del proyecto fue un certamen nacional de dibujo en el que Electrolux financió la impresión y distribución, por medio del comercio minorista y de revistas de divulgación, de 80.000 ejemplares de Ecoguida, un manual destinado a explicar a los consumidores el uso eficiente los electrodomésticos. Las ilustraciones del ganador del certamen de Panda Club fueron difundidas a través de esta publicación.
