A finales de abril la entidad de capital riesgo 3i vendió su participación en Faus Group por 195 millones de euros al equipo directivo de Faus y a Corporación Caixa Galicia.
De esta manera, el equipo directivo, presidido por el Sr. Juan Negre; junto con el grupo financiero, poseen la mayoría de los votos en el Consejo Directivo.

Según una nota de la compañía el cambio en las participaciones de la compañía llega en un momento crucial para la expansión global de la empresa.

Faus Group en el mundo
Faus Group ha experimentado en los últimos años, desde la entrada de 3i en 1997, una importante expansión internacional que se traduce en la presencia de sus productos en 45 países . Así, actualmente el 80% de las ventas (Faus Group facturó unos 180 millones en 2005) van al extranjero, frente al 30% de 1997.

Concretamente, la firma tiene en Estados Unidos, donde cuenta con una planta en Georgia, uno de sus principales mercados.

Además, Faus Group cuenta con otra fábrica en Shangai y sus productos se venden en Europa, especialmente en Reino Unido, Bélgica y Francia.

La firma con sede en Gandía (Valencia), especializada en la fabricación de tableros contrachapados, rechapados y melamina, ha realizado también una apuesta importante por la I+D que se ha traducido en la ampliación de instalaciones, el desarrollo de nuevos productos y variantes como Novofloor (suelo laminado) así como la puesta en marcha de una instalación para recubrimientos de termolaminados.

Hoy en día, Faus Group cuenta con 1.100 trabajadores y sus beneficios antes de impuestos alcanzaron el pasado ejercicio los 28,6 millones de euros.
