El Care Label Project de AEG se lleva un IEDesignAward

La iniciativa de la firma de electrodomésticos AEG se ha alzado con el galardón al Mejor Proyecto de Moda Sostenible. Los premios, organizados por la escuela IED Madrid, buscan acercar el mundo del diseño al público. El evento se ha celebrado en la Embajada de Italia y ha contado con Laura Sánchez como maestra de ceremonias.

Care Label Project (carelabelproject.com) trata de romper con los hábitos de lavado anticuados. El proyecto cuenta con la colaboración de empresas del sector textil, diseñadores, organizaciones textiles y de sostenibilidad, que comparten sus ideas sobre la importancia de actualizar los hábitos de cuidado de la ropa y cómo esto puede ayudar a mejorar la industria de la moda y su impacto en el medio ambiente. Su objetivo es concienciar y educar a la sociedad sobre los hábitos de cuidado sostenibles y adaptados a las nuevas tecnologías. Cada uno en nuestro hogar somos responsables del 25% del impacto medioambiental de la ropa, y simplemente alargando su vida útil nueve meses más, se podría llegar a reducir su huella de carbono, consumo de agua e influencia sobre el volumen de residuos en torno a un 20-30%.

El jurado ha estado compuesto por Lorenzo Meazza (Director de diseño e interiorismo de Ikea España), María Eugenia Girón (Directora Ejecutiva IE Premium y Prestige Business Observatory), Beatriz González Cristóbal (miembro de la junta directiva de Tous), Pablo Rubio Ordás (Director de Erretres) y el Embajador en España de la República de Italia, Stefano Sannino.

En esta segunda edición de los premios se han repartido un total de 16 galardones: cinco en el área visual, cinco en diseño, cinco en moda y uno para el área transversal. Hannibal Laguna o Aristocrazy han sido otros de los ganadores.
