Creado el Observatorio Industrial de la Madera

La patronal de la madera Confemadera, los sindicatos e institutos tecnológicos firmaron el pasado 21 de marzo un convenio con el Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio para crear el Observatorio Industrial de la Madera.
El Observatorio de la Madera inicia su camino en 2006 con la firma de un Convenio específico de colaboración entre el Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio (MITYC), la patronal Confemadera, los sindicatos del sector (MCA-UGT y FECOMA-CCOO) y la Federación Española de Entidades de Innovación y Tecnología (FEDIT).

Los Observatorios Industriales constituyen un instrumento activo de política industrial que, a través de la realización de análisis exhaustivos del sector de la madera, contribuirá a dar respuesta a los nuevos retos deben afrontar las empresas.

Se trata de entes abiertos que cuentan con la participación de los principales actores de cada sector y que tienen vocación de continuidad en el tiempo.

Esta nueva herramienta con la que cuenta el sector de la madera pretende ser un foro de encuentro permanente capaz de sistematizar la recogida y procesamiento de la información sobre sus necesidades y demandas, sus resultados y perspectivas, la implantación de nuevos elementos de innovación y sistemas estratégicos que mejoren la competitividad de las empresas y aseguren el futuro del sector, la creación de empleo y riqueza en un mundo globalizado.

El objetivo del Observatorio de la Madera es contribuir al desarrollo y competitividad del sector de la madera. Para ello, los agentes que lo integran trabajarán para proponer actuaciones que fomenten la capacidad exportadora, el esfuerzo en I+D+i, la consolidación de inversiones y empleo, así como la modernización tecnológica y adaptación a las nuevas condiciones internacionales de competencia.

Además, el Observatorio de la Madera supone un paso para institucionalizar de forma regular y permanente el diálogo social entre las organizaciones sindicales, las organizaciones empresariales y el Gobierno.
