Electrolux aumenta sus ventas y beneficios en el segundo trimestre

Entre mayo y junio Electrolux incrementó sus ventas respecto al segundo trimestre de 2008 un 7,4% hasta los 24.482 millones de coronas suecas (unos 2.473,2 millones de euros).

Los beneficios también crecieron un 564,6% y fueron de 658 millones de coronas suecas (unos 59, 2 millones de euros).

Los datos acumulados de la multinacional sueca duranbte la primera mitad del año suman unas ventas de 53.300 millones de coronas suecas (el 7,1% más que en la primera mitad de 2008). Los beneficios netos fueron de 312 millones de coronas suecas (unos 28,1 millones de euros), el 7% menos que en el primer semestre de 2008 debido sobre todo a las pérdidas registradas por la compañía en el primer trimestre de 2009.

Datos por negocios y zonas
Por áreas de negocio la división de productos profesionales acaparó el 6% de las ventas totales del primer semestre, y el área de consumo, el 94% restante.

Atendiendo al ámbito geográfico, el 38% de las ventas totales del grupo durante la primera mitad del año se llevaron a cabo en Europa, el 36% en Norteamérica, el 11% en Latinoamérica y el 9% en Asia/Pacífico y el resto del mundo.

Nombramientos
Por otro lado la compañía ha nombrado a Keith McLoughlin como jefe de operaciones de grandes electrodomésticos y a Kevin Scott como nuevo presidente y CEO de Major Appliances Norteamérica, además de Vicepresidente ejecutivo de AB Electrolux.
