La firma registró un descenso de sus ingresos del 21,9% y de los beneficios antes de intereses e impuestos (EBIT) del 97,4%.

Los ingresos del Grupo durante el primer trimestre alcanzaron los 590,7 millones de euros (756,2 millones de euros en 2008) el 21,9% menos que en el mismo periodo del año anterior. En cuanto al margen de operaciones (EBIT), alcanzó 1,2 millones de euros (46,2 millones de euros en 2008, un descenso del 97,4%).

La firma explica estos resultados por la caída de la demanda y por el impacto negativo de las modificaciones en las cifras de cambio de moneda, especialmente con el rublo y con la libra esterlina.

A pesar del dato negativo, el Grupo ha visto crecer su cuota de mercado a nivel europeo un punto porcentual hasta el 15%.

Estamos preparados para un 2009 difícil, afirmó el CEO del Grupo Marco Milani, nos hemos marcado a nosotros mismos dos objetivos básicos: defender nuestra solidez financiera y consolidar nuestras posiciones de liderazgo en los mercados de la Gran Europa.

Durante los tres primeros meses de 2009 la compañía ha lanzado 50 nuevos productos de primer nivel al mercado que se sumarán a los 190 lanzamientos previstos para antes de que acabe el año.º
