The organizers of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai held a successful press conference the past 12th July at the Italian Embassy in Beijing, revealing to the awaiting Chinese market exciting news on the 2nd edition of the show, including the new advertising campaign image and the Italian brands that already confirmed to be at the show.
27.072017-. With a history of 56 years, Salone del Mobile.Milano is recognized worldwide as the source of inspiration and leading trend-setters in the furniture and interior design industry. The 56th Salone del Mobile.Milano (April 04-09, 2017) confirmed its leading role in this industry and attracted 343,602 visitors from 165 different countries. In response to the great enthusiasm and interest of Chinese market for the design Made in Italy’, a collective of 56 top Italian furniture brands made their grand debut in China last year.
The 2nd edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai will be held from November 23 to 25, 2017 at Shanghai Exhibition Center. The display area considerably increased compare to last year and even more than 100 Italian brands will be showing their best designs.

New brand image
During the press conference the organizers officially revealed the 2017 new brand image for the show. Integrating Italy with China, Milan with Shanghai, the new visual graphic evocatively emphasizes both the single identities of the countries as well as the harmonic encounter of the two cultures, conveying to the leading nature of this international show.
Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai will gather together, once again, the leading Chinese architects, interior designers, importers, dealers, developers and professionals in the furniture and design industry by giving them the chance of experiencing the excellence of Italian furniture in China.
Last year Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai was an incredible success. FederlegnoArredo is the demonstration of how Italian companies can be successful if they work together. They are leaders also in this field, thanks to their great experience and tradition combined with research for innovative and new solutions, says Mr. Ettore Sequi, the Italian Ambassador to China.

The organizers will focus even more on the quality of the visitors in order to create concrete opportunities of business for the exhibitors and offer them a unique platform to increase their visibility and success in the Chinese market. Also in 2017, Master Classes and SaloneSatellite will be two appointments that cannot be missed, as main activities that will take place during the show. Italian and international renowned architects and designers will discuss and share with the audience their thoughts and visions about the most cutting-edge topics in the fast-developing design industry in China and in the world.
Master Classes and SaloneSatellite
The Master Classes, with its three-day educational program, will function as a perfect interaction between the two cultures. SaloneSatellite, the show dedicated to designers under 35 years old, celebrated last April its 20th anniversary during Salone del Mobile.Milano. It aims to encourage the creativity of the new generations for which China gave, also this year, a strong signal to the design world as the 1st, 2nd prizes and special mention were won by Chinese young designers.
SaloneSatellite made its debut in Shanghai in the last edition of the show and will be one of the highlights of the second edition as well, for which a distinguished jury of professionals will be invited to decide the winners. More details about SaloneSatellite will be disclosed soon.
